Build the base it stands on
Decorative work is only as good as the slab beneath it, so we condition and compact over the black clay first. A pretty surface on a moving base does not last.
Stone, slate, or brick character in one continuous slab, colored deep and sealed to stand up to the Central Texas sun, with no paver joints to weed or wander.
Credibility comes from how it's built, not from promises. Here's the order of operations on every stamped & decorative concrete job.
Decorative work is only as good as the slab beneath it, so we condition and compact over the black clay first. A pretty surface on a moving base does not last.
We use integral color and release agents so the tone runs through the pour and reads with depth, not a thin surface stain the Texas UV bleaches out.
Patterns press in while the concrete is still plastic so the texture lands crisp. The heat shortens that window, so the crew moves on a tight schedule to catch it.
The sealer pulls the color forward and shields it from the strong Central Texas sun, which fades and chalks unsealed decorative work faster than most folks expect.
Stamped concrete wants resealing on a cycle, and sooner here because of the sun. We hand you that schedule before you sign, not after the color starts to flatten.
Most contractors vanish after the deposit. We pick up the phone, show up when we say, and stand behind the work after the truck leaves. The follow-through is the difference.
A foreman we know runs your job and a vetted crew does the work, managed by Lucky's, one company accountable from the first call to the final walkthrough.
COI and lien waivers on file before we break ground. The documentation that lets commercial clients pay and gives homeowners peace of mind.
Prepped subgrade, reinforced and mixed to spec for the job, and proper curing. We build credibility through the process, not promises. On stamped & decorative concrete, that starts with build the base it stands on.

Stamped concrete is a poured slab pressed with patterned mats while it is still plastic and colored to read like stone, brick, or slate. You get the paver look in one continuous surface, with no seams to weed or shift over time.
Decorative work prices above standard flatwork, and the base underneath still has to be conditioned and built for the black clay. As a starting range, stamped concrete usually runs about $14 to $22 per square foot depending on pattern detail, how many color layers, and sealing. We quote it after seeing the space.
The slab itself is built like any of our work, conditioned over clay and jointed. The surface is the part that needs attention: hard UV fades color and wears down sealer, so we reseal on a schedule. Pavers, on the other hand, can lift and drift apart as the clay swells and shrinks beneath them.
Stone, slate, brick, and plank patterns in earth tones that sit well against Hill Country and Central Texas houses. We bring samples and match the finish to your home and whatever hardscape is already there.
Figure on every couple of years, and sooner on the southern and western exposures that soak up the full afternoon heat. We give you a clear resealing schedule so the color stays true.
It can run smoother than a broom finish, so on walkways and pool decks we mix a non-slip additive into the sealer. That matters around here when a sudden storm leaves the surface wet. We point out where it counts for your layout.
Stamped concrete usually goes in for less than pavers, has no joints to weed, and won't drift apart the way pavers can as expansive clay shifts under them. The trade is periodic resealing, and we lay that out plainly.
